Our History

   The origin of the organization’s name, Sarah’s House is derived from a leading lady and humanitarian, Sarah Brown, who passed away suddenly from a massive heart attack. She was the beloved mother and grandmother of the founders of this organization. Her mission in life was quite simple; love the Lord, love your family, help those who a

   The origin of the organization’s name, Sarah’s House is derived from a leading lady and humanitarian, Sarah Brown, who passed away suddenly from a massive heart attack. She was the beloved mother and grandmother of the founders of this organization. Her mission in life was quite simple; love the Lord, love your family, help those who are less fortunate, and be committed to getting an education.

Assisting and Empowering Families

 Family is important at Sarah's House. We assist the community by distributing basic food items and startup household goods. We work with students to pursue higher education.


In 2019, with a grant from the Akron City Council Neighborhood grant, we began a program for our senior community.  Senior Community Circles, provides a fun afternoon
